Swimways Acquires Aqua Rider Pool Floats, Popular Swim Noodles with Character

New Aqua Rider® Pool Noodles Tap into Kids’ Imaginations and Let Swimmers Ride on the Back of Aquatic Animals to Their Next Great Pool Adventure

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – July 23, 2014 – Swimways Corp., a leader in the pool and leisure products marketplace, announced today that it is acquiring the popular Aqua Rider, a patent pending pool noodle float that features the head and tail of colorful animal characters and built-in seat for easy riding. 

Aqua Riders, which were introduced to market in 2013, add a fun and unique twist to the ever popular pool noodle. Aqua Riders will be available in many styles, including Orca, Shark, Gator and Sea Horse, and appeal to swimmers of all ages.

“We are proud to offer the latest innovation in noodles,” said David Arias, president, Swimways. “Aqua Riders is one of the hottest toys of 2014, and we’re very excited to be the company to offer this fun and unique product to consumers.”

Although the announcement was made today, Swimways will begin distribution of the Aqua Rider under the SwimWays® brand in January 2015. Consumers will be able to purchase these character noodles for approximately $12.99 at retailers nationwide. SwimWays products, including its Spring Float® Toypedo® and Swim Steps brands, are distributed internationally at mass, sporting goods and specialty pool retailers.
